Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how LinkedMetric ("LinkedMetric", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, shares and protects information when you use our marketing data integration and reporting services (the "Service"). We are committed to handling data lawfully, transparently and with the minimum access necessary.
1. Who we are
LinkedMetric provides data integration services that connect advertising and analytics platforms to reporting and data-warehouse destinations. LinkedMetric is operated by [[LEGAL_ENTITY]], a company registered in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce / KvK no. [[KVK]]), registered address [[ADDRESS]]. For any privacy question you can reach us at info@linkedmetric.com.
Where we determine the purposes and means of processing, we act as a data controller. Where we process advertising and analytics data on behalf of a customer to deliver it into their own reporting environment, we act as a data processor for that customer.
2. Data we process
Depending on the sources you connect, we may process:
- Account & authorisation data — the account or property identifiers you connect, and the OAuth access/refresh tokens issued by each platform so we can read your reporting data.
- Advertising & analytics reporting data — aggregated performance metrics and dimensions such as spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, campaign, ad group, date and channel.
- Basic profile information — the name and email address associated with the account used to authorise a connection, solely to identify the connection and contact you about it.
- Service & technical data — logs needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the Service (e.g. sync status, timestamps, error records).
We do not seek to collect special categories of personal data, and we ask only for read-only reporting scopes.
3. How and why we use data
We use the data above only to:
- establish and maintain the connections you authorise;
- import, standardise and deliver your reporting data to the destination you control;
- keep the Service reliable and secure, and diagnose problems;
- communicate with you about your connections and the Service.
We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to develop or train generalised AI or machine-learning models.
4. Google user data & Limited Use
When you connect a Google service (such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, Search Console or Display & Video 360), LinkedMetric's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- we only access Google user data to provide and improve user-facing features of the Service (marketing reporting);
- we do not transfer or sell Google user data for advertising, or to data brokers or information resellers;
- we do not use Google user data to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes;
- we do not use Google user data to train or improve generalised AI/ML models;
- humans do not read Google user data unless we have your consent for specific data, it is necessary for security or to comply with law, or the data is aggregated and used for internal operations in line with the policy.
5. Meta and other platform data
When you connect Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising accounts, our access and use of Meta data complies with the Meta Platform Terms and applicable developer policies. We request read-only advertising insights permissions and use the data solely to provide your reporting. The same read-only, reporting-only principles apply to every other platform we support (including Microsoft Advertising, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok and Adform): we access only what is needed to produce your reports and never modify your accounts.
6. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on:
- Consent — you grant access to each source through its official authorisation flow, and can withdraw it at any time;
- Contract — processing necessary to provide the Service you or your organisation requested;
- Legitimate interests — operating, securing and improving the Service, balanced against your rights.
7. Sharing and sub-processors
We do not sell personal data and do not share it except:
- with the reporting or data-warehouse destination you direct us to deliver data to;
- with vetted infrastructure sub-processors that host and run the Service under contractual data-protection obligations;
- where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of users and the Service.
8. Storage, security and retention
We apply industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher), encryption of stored access tokens, least-privilege access controls, and restricted, audited access to production systems. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the Service or as required by law. When a connection is disconnected or an account is closed, associated tokens are revoked and related data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period. You may request deletion at any time.
9. International transfers
The Service is operated from the European Union. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may also withdraw consent for any connection at any time and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). To exercise any right, contact info@linkedmetric.com.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
12. Contact
